Emerald Necklace

Today Dad, Mom, and I decided to walk the entire Emerald Necklace chain of parks. There were lots of other dogs, but they were only walking part of the necklace. Not so impressive. We started by walking two miles to get to the beginning of the necklace, nice planning there Dad.

Here I am in the Arnold Arboretum, having the best time.

Next, we walked along Arborway. You'll notice that the trees have not learned that it is spring yet.

Next up, Jamaica Pond.

Olmsted Park, my normal stomping grounds.

Dunkin Donuts, Dad and Mom's normal stomping grounds (not on the Emerald Necklace, Mom insisted on stopping for a snack - there are treats in your pocket Mom, eat those).

Back on track at Riverway.

Back Bay Fens. Some geese were giving me looks. I told them I'd rough them up, Mom wouldn't let me.

Commonwealth Avenue Mall, worried.

Public Garden. My real shepherd ears are working.

We made it. I must take a nap. Finally to Boston Common.

The full route.

Mom says we have to move.

I found us a new place. It has all the amenities and it looks very breezy.

A photo review of spring; an apology

I apologize for Mom. She stole the wifi password from me you guys. She says she forgot to tell me what it was, but she stole it. I have been saving up the portraits my parents have taken of me to share with you all spring.

First thing you missed was St. Patrick's Day. It's where we celebrate the color green and parades. I went to a parade. I've decided I do not like parades. At all. Here I am not enjoying myself. In costume.

It is springtime now. Here is some photographic evidence. Here is me waving, with flowers.

Here is me on a hike with Mom. You can see a nice view in one photo and an area of the woods that is a little blackened. It smelled like barbecue there.

I had so many visitors in the last few months. Aunt Tiffany, Aunt Tina, Uncle Daniel, Uncle Brian, and Uncle Jordan all came to see me. Specifically me. Here I am with Aunt Tina.

Here are some photos of me in my hood. Eating a stick, waving on some rocks, being with my parents.

Here is my new fashion. Auntie Valerie bought it for me. It has blue lobsters like the ones Mom says she works with. Or maybe Mom eats them, I'm not sure.

Here are photos of me playing sports. Mom says tomorrow I have a tournament. I told her I need to carbo-load. She said no.

Still snowing...

I've been so busy peeing in the snow I haven't had time to blog. We had a blizzard, it was pretty cool. Mom and Dad stayed home with me for four days! Here I am navigating through the snow canals.

Anyway, it stopped snowing for a while, and the snow almost completely went away. But then it snowed yesterday. I'm very proud of all the snow. I'm so glad we live in Alaska. Mom says I should stop lying, but we obviously are in Alaska because I found this Rhino.

In other news, I'm becoming more athletic. Also, a young boy tried to play with me today but he got in trouble. Aunt Tina is coming soon and I plan to bark, and then maybe submissively pee near her.

Jam-packed January

Boston has been snowing. Sometimes. Not all the time. The days that it snows I go out and snort a lot. It's fun.

Mom doesn't like to walk when it's cold outside so she makes me play tug inside a lot. I've been diligently practicing my flyball boxturn. Everybody keeps confusing me. Do you want me to turn or do you want me to get the ball? Decide please. We went to a scrimmage two weeks ago. There were a lot of dogs - some of them were shrieking. Some of the humans shrieked also.

I've been collecting portraits of myself in the snow to share. Please have a look.

My Mom and Dad took me to see a castle near our house. It was built in 1869. That was a little bit before I was born.

Here I am looking at Harvard Medical School. Sometimes they have rabbits on the lawn - I think the rabbits are learning to be doctors.

Mom drew this picture of me and she is conceited so she wants you to look at it.

Presents!

It's Christmas for real now. I got so many presents.

Santa got me an indoor Chuck-It and a crinkly moose. Also, Christmas tug toys. And dental chews. Santa thinks I should brush my teeth more.
